Online Giving

First, it needs to be said that often too much hope is put into web sites without understanding what it takes to make them an effective portal for donations. Giving is personal (especially recurring) and if your organization is not (1.) highly visible, (2.) have a predominantly "under forty-five" audience or (3.) have effective web site marketing (ministry focus, email campaigns and links, advertising, search engine positioning etc.) then you may be a little disappointed. Most ministries receive a giver's financial information from paper forms (mailings, meetings, dinners and in person). Our non-web tools may actually make the telephone a great source of donations because they can take any kind of donation without the web. In any case, be aware of this issue.

The donation page is designed to compliment your web site look. It is personalized with leadership picture and quote of appreciation and direction. Our secure server, a dual-drive, dual battery backup system hosted in the Westin building in Seattle is 128 bit encrypted. Your givers will sense they are on your web site (comfort) and are entering donations that will go to you (unlike eCommerce systems). Multiple "asks" or needs can be encoded simply from explanation pages on your website. The gift purpose (and amount if desired) pass through to our form. Your givers can also manually enter a purpose for the gift. This way you control your changing needs from your website.

You will receive an email from the server noting a new donation. The secured information routes to an "/admin" page, user/password protected. There you may retrieve checking, savings and credit card information from your donors and input it into your CheckFree EFT Web account either automatically o r manually (your choice). You may adjust text and routing addresses in the system. This is a free service donated to you from our ministry. The system is hosted by us so your organization will receive updates in donation page improvements as they are developed.

After applying for the page, sending necessary art and text, we will load it on the server, apply art and send you instructions on its use and encoding for your webmaster. The online system is created by PWG Design in Mount Vernon WA. Egiving Systems is customer service source at 888-780-4483.
